Yep, thanks 88KE. A sense of humor is a sense of humor in any accent or language.
Rick G you are very right to point out that we must all take great care with what is acceptable humor. I hope this did not offend.
I hate any racist jokes, and thats not being PC just being another human on this mixed up planet.

The Irish do have an unfortunate way of saying things which to anyone but the Irish sound rediculous. Probably comes from speaking Gaelic and using that way of speech.
I once said to my dear wife that Irish stew was invented by the English to make the Irish look fools and then said that it wasn't really needed and thats how it started.

Cant see why it offended........ My son is a professional sailor (TP 52's, Volvo 70's etc etc ) and thought it was fantastic.
