Hi,
Just picked up a 1987 K100 RT. It's been 15 years since I've been on a bike. It feels wonderful.
I live in Chicago and am looking forward to riding out in the country as soon as the thermometer slides away from that 100 deg. mark.

Welcome tonykitt
it's good to get back in the saddle, and after you get used to the weight around town you won't want to stay home. (I don't).
All the help you may need is here if you show us your bike.

Welcome tonykitt. We, at least I, in the east of Australia are looking forward to seeing our mercury climb to that magic 100 dec mark SmileSmile Think a short ride followed by a very cold beer and then repeat the cycle ... that usually gets me out and about Smile

You're a man after my own heart Tony. I bought an 88 lt after a fifteen year absence from 2 wheel transport. Give yourself a few hundred miles to get used to the bike and you'll soon find that short hops are just not enough.

I did a bit of biking over your way in the early 90's...even bought a honda VLX from the Chicago Honda Centre but that was many moons ago, BC (before children). Now that I've had my K a while I'm not sure I'd swap it for a new bike. Enjoy the forum.

Welcome into the fold. Do be careful if you've been away from riding for many years. Take the steps necessary to re-acquaint yourself with essential skills.
