They are interchangeable and I believe the LT was the only one with the flaps but not all had them. Now days the way they have been canabized the vents can come on anything.

The vents came on the LT model in 06/88.

I replaced my 1993 k1100lt faring with one from a 1985 K100rt. no difference at all. My electric screen bolted up to it.

Sean if we all turn up in october rickmiester can show you how they work as he showed us on wednesday Cute little idea. Now desparately doing OT to cost up the october run. I been waiting for a mate to do a weld job for me on some bars for lowered forks, still waitin, he's the spray painter I am to use to fix the wear and tare on my body parts afore i peice it back together. (hope he paints quicker than he welds) but anywho you just gotta see these things their a hoot of an idea

See the vents and how they work mate, you know the obolong holes in the other fairing you enquired about, its all right we often forget things when in shock. Jon Lord died and I am in shock, bloody great keyboard artist he was.
