That guy on his back is doing a good job so far he has managed to get the front wheel up off the ground but he needs more help to get it upright.

Some one tell him you're supposed to SIT ON THE BIKE and touch the road with your knee not sit on the road and touch the bike with your knee!

This is a very relevant topic. I have let mine over a number of times. 5' 8" and a comfort seat is a bit of a challenge. I have twice had to do it myself, not easy and there is a need for a cool beer afterwards. Other times I have had assistance, such as in a petrol station.
Cant ask my other half to help due to a back problem.
What is the solution if it happens in a remote location with no one around?

Get a sidecar!
( on a more serious note, I doubt I could ride my K in city traffic without the chair, with my gammy leg. They are a tall and heavy bike.)

A K1100 on its side is a damn site harder to do like that than a goldwing on its side like that was but it still is the right way to do it. The thing to remember is put the side stand down and if possible put a sheet of ply where the stand will contact the ground.
I saw a guy that was drunk (thats why he dropped the bike) do it without the stand down and we never let him forget it.

Coupla years ago, Broken Hill to Lightning Ridge, stopping for petrol in Bourke (of 'back of Bourke' fame). As I approached the petrol bowsers a pedestrian suddenly appeared and walked right out in front of me. I had to slow quickly and then veer away to clear him because he hesitated slightly. When I put my feet down the greasy diesel across the concrete caused me to slip and the bike fell easy and gentle against the pumps, leaning slightly to the right hand side. Could I pick it up with fully stuffed panniers, a topbag loaded with camping gear, with one of the mirrors popped off, a tankbag to reach around, and having to stand a foot off the pavement on the bowser's raised and cramped area? Not on your life. A truckie came over and assisted me as if out of nowhere. As I turned to thank him, he was gone, vanished, poof. I was so knackered I thought I might have imagined him. I can lift my bike easily when alone and in the clear. This time it took two people, and that's the way it is at times.
