Getting last few jobs done to get my RT back on the road and need to stick the backs on the mirror pods before I paint them.
Has anyone had any success with any type of glue?
I'm thinking of polystyrene cement as used by model-makers.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I cleaned the surfaces with a very sharp blade by scrapeing and when there was black plastic to glue I used superglue and to date not one mirror has parted company with its other half.
You can paint over the glue with any type of paint and it will be OK

I used clear silicon for mine. Thought it better than super glue, just in case I need to take it off for some reason. Been riding daily for a month now and it hasn't fallen off yet. Touch wood!!!!!

I used Pattex 2 component stick (Repair express) anywhere on fairing. Cheap, easy to form, dries quickly, you can grind it, durable

Cheers

It certainly has Charlie. I ride every day. I think it is a boy though, as every time I get near a highway it just wants to go flat out.Very Happy I have the radio and Baher intercom fitted now. Only problem is noise in the radio when connected to the intercom. Think I know the cause but am yet to design a solution. Still have the ipod though for those riding tunes.Which adhesive for mirror pod backs? 723598
