If the 2 parts were fitting together, I would say that this is the Viagra box from Rick G (See this thread).
I don't have any idea of what it could be.

The external thread measures 34mm and the pitch of the thread appears to be 2mm measuring it with vernier calipers. The internal thread is 28mm. They both have recesses in them for "o" rings although only one has the "o" ring fitted.

Thanks Hover K100, had a look at the website and they are aftermarket covers to suit Yamaha TT500, XT500 and SR500, no wonder I couldn't associate them with a K100!!!
