It's a start.

I mentioned in another post where I would be camping last weekend and k100virgin (John) read the post and as he didn't live far away, I invited him to come to the campsite.

Well, if a meeting of two forum members constitutes an official meet, then Saturday afternoon was there.

A very pleasant hour was spent together discussing K's in general and our two bikes in particular, with many references to the forum, before John had to leave to go and buy his wife a birthday pressie.

Good to meet you, John, I'll let you know when I'm next in that neck of the woods.

Cheers,
Paul.

You guys are just party animals. That's a real good start, we are different here of course because there's always
a pub involved.

Thank you Paul, for the comments. This is the 1st, 1st I have ever done in my life!! Lucky with the weather and even managed a birthday present for the wife that she liked, that must be two 1st's!!
Yes it would be nice to have a meet somewhere, in the midlands perhaps, the motorcycle museum? any suggestions? John

I was at an event in the Motorcycle Museum many moons ago - decades even! Wasn't there a fire in it sometime back? - I'd be up for rowing in to a meet like that, very manageable from hollyhead. Maybe Electric monk and a few others from this side of the Irish Sea could be inveigled along.

Cool

I think there was a fire 88 its been years since I went to the bike museum it was well worth it, one of the best bikes for me was the FOUR cylinder Triumph Trident that the workers built to prove they could do it.

Here's another to add to the list of would-be participants. I suggest somewhere a little more picturesque though. Museum is good once you're in but a ride into Birmingham doesn't necessarily appeal... (sorry Brummies). Q. does anyone know if the Aerial inline flat-4 survived the fire?
