Having just returned back to biking since 20 years ago (ltd. Edition R100RS). Despite many things in life.changing, politics, chidren etc. I went and got.myself another oldie an '88 LT.
In time you tend to notice change and sometimes you don't (like driving 100+ miles to get spares from a shop in West Yorkshire, only to find a desk and a phone.... "We only deal internet now..." They said)
One thing that hasn't changed, the unyielding help you get from dedicated groups like this. So good in this world of selfishness to see people like us existing and promoting advice and help to others without demanding this, that and the other.

A good majority of us had followed the same path as yours. We stopped biking the time needed to establish a decent living then later got back into it.

We all remember one of the most amazing thing about riding: The sense of belonging to a community of people enjoying the same passion.
Before we were making friends on the side of the road, or at motorcycle rally but now we have Inernet to expand our horizon and reach people all over the planet. 20 years ago, when it was in its infancy, it was predicted that Internet will become 'The global village' and here we are. We have the choice to enjoy both sides. The commercial one, and the social one where we belong.

This forum is free in the sens that we don't ask for money, but we have expectations.... New members should preserve our values from extinction. As they gain experience, they should remember the helpful hand received and use their newly acquired knowledge the help others.

This is the reason why in only a couple of years, this forum became so successful.

Hi, Cleverbee, I've only been here a short time, but I feel I've suddenly found a load of new mates.

Was that a helmet camera, Ajays? The shots seemed remarkably smooth or do they repair potholes in Hertfordshire?
