Just acquired a 1985 K100RS which has been sitting in a garage for 12 years, nice summer project. Think I got a good deal only £200, replaced battery, most things work but have not tried to start it as old fuel still has to be drained and filters etc replaced. Looks a bit tatty as the last owner had it running as a trike (did not look good). Got a box of spares, spare tyres bits of the fairing which appears to be all the inner bits, but have no idea how they all fit together, does anyone have a drawing showing all the bits and where they attach?

Really looking forward to the time when I get to try to start it up!

Ali

Welcome aboard Ali. I think you stole that bike. There are many internet sites that have exploded parts drawings. Have a look at Real OEM, Motobins, Motoworks, Max BMW, Pandora Cycle to name a few.

Welcome and hope you make some nice trips.

The Clymer manual is very useful, worth getting. It makes good bedtime reading. a lot of good info here. morobins and motorworks are good sources of parts.

With regard to what you bought dont fire it up, dont even power up the system until you have drained and cleaned all the fuel tank, fuel filter etc and got all the old petrol out. Avoids getting junk in the fuel lines. The site here is good for warnings and advice.

Happy motoring.

Welcome mate! Sounds a bargain. Hope you enjoy doing it up as much as I did mine.

I'm not a million miles away and although I am far from a seasoned 'K' expert I have picked up a bit of 'K' know how this past winter and would be happy to lend a pair of helping hands if you need them at any stage.

Best
Dave
