It's a sort of matt finish with 600 wet and dry. I did think about polishing it but havn't tried yet.

Painting the wheels was the most time consuming job of all, trying to get into all the tiny spaces I was thinking how hard it would to do the Y spoke wheels.

One nice looking bike. Are those Givi boxes on the sides? How much trouble was it to attach the rear blinkers to the topbox frame? How many kms?

Not Givi but Bestem at $79 each and painted to match. They are actually all top boxes with two mounted vertically. The blinkers are after market that are the same shape and cost $12 each. 155,000km, it's an ex federal police that did escort duty then was owned by a guy around Nowra who did absolutely nothing except put fuel in it and rode it till it wouldn't move, he litterally did that , the front discs were so worn at the floating buttons that they wouldnt pass through the calipers easily.

Lovely job KFreak. The detailing around the engine covers and wheels etc really sets it off. Congratulations on a job well done.

Yeah geordnz...it's red, but not a "manly" red!

It's suposed to be Mystic Red but I don't think its quite right but I didn't have anything to compare it with so I went ahead and used it. I don't mind the colour but it isnt what I wanted, I think there is too much pearl in it and it came out a bit light but that colour it stays.

Well, I've just returned from two weeks hols today...so all I can do is try to get another few days off for Araluen.

The panniers are somewhat "scruffy", but they're ok. I've ordered and received new badges for them and I need to sort out the locks (are you listening Charlie?). I'm going to repaint the lids to see if I can get them to look half decent.

It looks like a Friday/Monday trip for me too.
