My speedo cuts out every now and then.

If I tap the speedo housing it starts working again.



I know I have to clean the connections to the speedo.



Whats the easiest way to remove the Speedo/Tach housing to get at the electrical connections?

Also check the connector under the right battery cover, two pole, one yellow and one brown wire.
Another link in the weak chain.

gerry there are 2 x 5mm screws holding the instrument cluster to the steering head. you should be able to get at them by turning the bar one way ,,,,then undoing the one that presents itself ....then go the other way

they attach to a bracket which rises verticaly to the base of the instruments, the screws mount from the front of the bike.

Taking the screen off can also help seeing what to do and getting at the two 5mm allen head bolts.
