If you have ever managed to break a side cover arm , get a plastic flymo blade securing tool and cut off the hook at the end.

My arm broke in just the right place to provide a base for the " new arm " to fit into.

The radius was very close to the original .

Of course this is only likely to happen when you replace the securing grommets,  jeez  you have to be real careful trying to pry the cover off ....

This probably falls into the " White cable tie " category , but hey ho ......  Side panel securing arm repair/bodge 652573

I have three of those Flymo thingies in my shed.....now why on earth did I ever think they would come in useful some day. Both tabs on the RT are broken off.....

I didn't even have a K when I got the first two.....

Is there a correlation between having a Flymo and a K?????

For the record my Flymo does NOT have white cable ties....but I do have white cable ties.

This is my fix. The white cable tie broke so now I have the "proper" UV resistant black one :-)

It is easy to stick my forefinger under the cover and slip it over the post.

Regarding the rear post, JB Weld epoxy to the rescue.

Regarding, "Of course this is only likely to happen when you replace the securing grommets,  jeez  you have to be real careful trying to pry the cover off ....", I lube the tit on the cover with silicone grease. When I remove the cover, I put fingers underneath and then brace the outside with my other hand to control things.
