Hi,  I have been scanning this forum for a number of weeks now and what a great fountain of knowledge it is!!!

I recently came into possession of a K100 LT 1991 that needs a lot of love having not been ridden or started in over 10 years. After an oil change and a few other checks and fettling to my amazement she started until the rad started leaking. 

I'm now in the process of tearing her down to bare bones and turning her into a café racer (Sorry I know that will be sacrilege to some) But better to be on the road and loved than in a garage rusting.
I’m 6’5” so will need to do some tweaks to make the K suited to my size (Any tips welcomed) currently looking at rear sets but thinking of sticking with stock and raising the seat a little.

I also have a Norton Dominator 99 that is also in the same position but that’s project number 2 for a later date.

Hi Loz from the southern outpost of Hampshire. I too have a K Scrambler but I bought mine half converted already. That's not to say it was anywhere near finished as my endless hours in the garage and empty bank account will testify to. 65 years old is about the norm on here as there are many, including myself, in their 7th decade. Perhaps we're the generation that most appreciates this particular BMW engineering masterpiece. Have fun with your K.
