Hello all from South Somerset, England, I've recently acquired my father's 1984 K100,its been hidden away in his garage ,'resting ' for about 10 years, and an opportunity has risen where I can have her,and many spares, including a complete spare engine , and put her back on the road, with a few 'upto date' mods,I am looking forward to riding her once again,I did when my father first bought her,but other commitments took priority, anyway thanks to all on here, and I'm very much looking forward  to being part of this K100 family, cheers ,Gary

Plenty of advice here to get it back on the road, it's a mine of information, just search on the portal tab or stick up a rebuild thread.

Great to see you on board and thats a pleasant recommission for sure.

I got a 1983 K100RS that spent 17 years in a boat shed about 5 miles away from me. It took me 6 months to get it to the point of riding it home.

Happy to give you the check list of all the things done, I kept a record and most of the items are inexpensive and some are kind of tricky as in not immediately obvious. There are some K owners not a million miles away from you and a few beers can be very persuasive.

Its all diy able if you are in possession of basic skills and use the forum here for pointers for parts sources and how to shortcut things.

Since Brexit stuff has got tricky in UK, prices from Germany and Holland as very good even after you pay the UK VAT at point of entry so don't be afraid to buy abroad. I bought brake discs from Germany for €104 plus VAT and Motorworks at the same time were charging £140 plus VAT. I have found the same for many other items. Enough stuff and it might be worth your while getting it delivered to Ireland and nipping across for it or getting someone to bring it over.
