After removing the ABS system from my 1992 K100RS (accus, ecu, relays) the centre bulb check warning light keeps on blinking and is driving me bonkers.

Other than removing the light bulb in the cluster, is there any other technical fix to stop the blinking?

That will also blink if the brake light switches are faulty. It will blink until both pedal and hand lever have been used and the switches have operated. You probably have a bad switch.

Switches are fine. It seems the missing ABS is triggering the blinking.
Just wondering if there is a clean solution...

Did you pull both of the blue relays?

Yes. Both relays have been removed. It only stopped the ABS warning light from being on, but the center bulb check light in the cluster is still blinking....

Is it a regular pattern blink or sporadic? If it is sporadic then I'd guess a bulb going bad.

Regular pattern.

A flashing signal on the center varning light with the triangle symbol comes from the ABS ECU, which you must disconnect.
A problem with the switches or bulbs will give you a continuously on signal at the same warning light.

I also have an issue with the ABS. WHen I start the bike, the ABS lamp in the clister comes on, and states on. Nothing happens when i use the front brake lever, but when I activities the rear brake, the lamp starts to flash. It seems like the ABS functions on the front wheel, but not on the rear. The ABS switch does not seem to have an effect, and the light at the bottom left of the instrument panel, which is supposed to be one of two ABS lamps, does not come on. The ABS brain is supposed to be renewed. In another forum, I have printed out a method of zeroing the ABS system, but I am a bit sceptical to go through with it, in fear of damaging other vulnerable electrical parts. Any suggestions?

As the warning light is flashing and not permanent points in the direction ABS problem.
A good start would be to read out the fault codes......search Anton Largiader+ABS fault codes.
Common faults: incorrect sensor opening(s), low battery voltage.

If all is working correctly - When you turn the ignition on, the red ABS lamp (lower left of cluster) should flash - you will hear the ABS relay (under the tank) clicking loudly and the red bulb monitoring light (centre of cluster - marked with a triangle) will show a steady light. As soon as you activate both the front and rear brake levers, the bulb monitoring unit indication will start to flash. It doesn't matter what order you operate the brakes - but the light will not flash until both have been operated. When you then move off, as soon as your speed gets above 2.5mph, both the flashing ABS and bulb monitoring lights should go out.

If all is not working correctly - 

• if the ABS light is not flashing (and no audible clicking)- I would suspect the relay is faulty. Could be why the ABS switch has no effect.
  
• if the bulb monitoring light does not go out when you operate both brakes - you have a problem with either the brake or tail light and/or either the front brake switch or the rear brake switch.
  
• if the bulb monitoring unit does not detect operation of both brakes, the ABS system will not initialise itself.
  
• if both brake switches and the bulbs are good (get the flashing bulb monitoring unit light), but when you ride off the ABS and bulb monitoring unit continue to flash - then that indicates a problem with the ABS brain (in the duck tail). In this case, pressing the ABS switch on the dash pad will force both lights to be on. This is to avoid the distraction of flashing lights while you are riding - after about 10 minutes, they will start flashing again and you have to override with the switch again. 
  
• Once the ABS brain detects a fault, you need to clear the fault and reset the brain (you've seen the posts on how to do this). If you have an ABS tester, so much the easier, because it will indicate where the fault lies. If you have several faults (e.g. front sensor and low battery), it is necessary to fix each fault and reset the brain several times.
  

When I bought Gretel, I had issues with the ABS - in particular, there was no ABS light or audible clicking (it really helps to have a second bike for comparison!). I thought it was a bulb issue, but that checked out OK. In the end, I found that one of the ABS relays had been removed altogether - probably to get rid of an annoying light that was indicating an ABS fault!! Replaced the relay, reset the brain and all good ever since.

Put a small piece of electrical tape over the lights. That is what I did until I figure out the issues or remove the ABS.

If you removed the correct relays the light will not be flashing also disconnect the multipin plug to the brain.
