Shown is the two pop bottles that I had great luck balancing the carbs(cylinders) on my yamahas, one a xs two cylinder and a xj a four cylinder. Now that I have come over to the dark side could I use this set up to  balance my 3 cylinder k75?  Or do I have to spring for another pop bottle?
For the xj I would do 1 and2 then 3and 4 then 2 and3 worked super.
I was thinking for the k75 it might go, 1 and 2 then 2and 3?

That rig will work great.  Set the idle bypass screw on the #3 cylinder to 1 1/2 turns from lightly bottomed.  Connect the rig to cylinder #3 and cylinder #2.  Cylinder #3 is going to be your reference for the other two cyliders.

Then adjust the #2 cylinder to #3.  When that is done use the rig to adjust #1 to #3.

Many thanks! Getting my to do list in order for the end of season. Up to 1900km since I got the bike out of moth balls in may. Running fine and does not use oil. On to do list are: steering head bearings new hoses in tank, pull tranny and lube spline, replace brushes in starter , flush shocks, balance front wheel and new bearings. Any suggestions?

When balancing throttle bodies . What do you do with the vacuum line that goes to number three? Plug ,tee, leave open?

I originally teed it to the vacuum line on the last cylinder where it came from.  #3 on K75 and #4 on a K100.

However, lately I have been leaving it open to avoid the vacuum pulses from possibly causing the fuel pressure to bounce around.  I'm not sure it really makes a difference, but it makes me feel better.

If you make that rig with half-pint vodka bottles, you're less likely to be uptight about the outcome, at least the first time.

Three bottles won't work.  This balancer works by allowing you to see the vacuum difference between two cylinders.  It can't show the difference between three or more.  The beauty of the two bottle balancer is the absolute accuracy it gives in making the vacuum exactly the same in two cylinders without having to worry about things like gauge accuracy/calibration. 

I like the idea of three(or more) vodka bottles.  Two for the rig, and as many spares as you can get your hands on.
