I have managed to acquire one of these units but unfortunately am missing the power lead that connects to the battery via crocodile clips.  This lead attaches to the diagnostic unit by a 6 pin din plug. I can get one of these plugs but wondered if any one new what two pins would need to be connected ? I see from a previous post that Mike D has one  and I have messaged him to see if he could give me the pin outs but was unable to put a picture in the message. Maybe someone else might have this information.

Hi Ringfad,

Just read your PM and post.

I am away at the Founders day Rally and will be back later tomorrow (Sunday 23/07). I will look for the cables and see what I can suggest.

Hi Ringfad,

Just back from the Rally.

The red croc lead connects to the centre pin of the DIN plug.

The black croc lead connects to pin 3 of the DIN plug. You can't miscount pin 3 as you arrive at the that pin wherever you start from.

I also have a transformer mains plug connected to a similar DIN plug which is screwed into the same port (left hand side circled in red on the your diagram).

On my unit the inductive pick-up is screwed into the far right DIN port.

The Diagnose 61-0-600 box is screwed into the centre DIN port.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Mike

Hi again,

Just noticed I have another patch lead lead that is not shown in your photo.

It consists of:

A pair of leads connecting two BMW square connectors (one male, one female) and piggy back to that a green female socket and a yellow female socket.

Thanks Mike

That's what I needed to know. The other lead you mention I believe if for testing the injectors and should be easy to make.

Have you used yours ?
