A project made possible by member Point-Seven-Five. All the parts necessary to put my bike in K1100RS trim. The extra required was the inner fairing brackets for the mirror extension parts, which I sourced used from MotorWorks, and some hardware. A spare set of turn signal/mirror housings came in the package too.

The fairings were in perfect condition save for a few scratches here and there-no big deal. I sanded all the bodywork, filled and sanded a few scratches with Bondo and then it was off to the painter.

A few photos from yesterdays first ride of the season.

Man!  Your bike came out great!  That is a great shade of blue!  Glad those parts found their way to a good home.

Nice to see some of these old war horses being restored instead of hacked up into garage queens waiting to be abandoned.

I have a complete K1100RS fairing, sans rear cowl, in an original muted red (colour code & name unknown), that's wanting a new home. I rescued it from someone who just had to "make his K bike his own".

Your choice of that deep blue colour reminds me of a sweet K1100RS, modded with K1200LT engine, I bought some years back (late 2014?) that had made its way across the US thanks to a prominent local member, and somehow I ended up with it when a customer walked into the local shop where I work, & offered it up. It now resides with my younger brother in Massatucky, ridden when weather allows, & running as strong as ever.

Unless somebody repainted it that bike is a lighter blue: Seiden Blau - Silk Blue

For the sake of comparison, I've added a photo of my bike in its original colour, 606 Alaska Blue. I worked with the painter to get as close as we could get without either one of us losing our minds over it.

That's a sexy bike right there. My RS is naked. Kind of wish I had the fairings.
