Hello and greetings from Finland!
I have a 1990 K100RS. Has been working well already for 192k. But now battery had died during warm winter storage (no surprise). Replaced the battery with a new one. Bike started right up and ran for 20 seconds or so and then died. After this I tried to start it several times, cranks well but won't start anymore. Doesn't even try. Went through the basic stuff like ground connections and fuses, all seem fine. I can also hear the fuel pump.
Then I noticed that when the ignition is on, and if I apply brake (front or rear), the bike dies (all lights incl. instrument cluster), just like switching ignition off. When releasing the brake, everything comes back on, like turning the key.
Tried searching for similar issue but didn't find. Has anyone here encountered similar? Would be grateful for all advice. Can this prevent the starting?
Thanks to all for help!
