The rare City Cases, for those times when only an out-of-the-ordinary accessory will do LOL!  For those unfamiliar with City Cases, they seem to be created for a run to the shop for cheese, a bagette and a bottle of wine.  These particular cases are in exceptional condition and one key (included) works all the locks! cheers The one criticism that they may draw is a missing rondel on one lid.  (BTW, the rondels are still available from BMW.)  There is a hairline crack about 2 1/2 " in length that I put a bead of JB Weld over to discourage it spreading.  It's on the back side of the case and can only be seen when the case it open or off the bike.

I'll be happy to send pix to the interested. They are in Boise, Idaho, USA.  I'd like $200US for the set. Thanks.

If it wasn't for the fact that it would cost me half of that price to ship them up to me in Calgary, I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

There is a good reason for the size.  When fitted to a K100RT, they are more or less the same width as the handlebars.  If the police officer (city cases generally found on police bikes in my part of the world) has to filter through between cars in traffic he knows the rear will get through if the front does.  And they are just the right size to hold the police officers paperwork etc.

I like the fact that for a daily rider, they aren't too big, and the bonus is that they have that wall inside that makes it easy to just toss stuff in them.

The downside is that the ones I've owned had a proclivity for falling off the bike.  The first one cost me a totaled 16V RS and a day in the emergency room when I went back to get it on an expressway.  The second escaped with a couple hundred dollars in Craftsman tools in it.  Some lucky person must have picked it up pretty soon because I went back 5 minutes later and it was gone.

I now have nylon straps holding them on my bikes, and so far, it's been 4 years since I have lost one.
