Good morning everybody, and thanks for having me.
I got my first K-bike - an ‘86 K75C - in 1992 and have loved BMW’s ever since. I sold this bike in ‘94 because I really wanted a K75S, and ended up buying a ‘92 model the following year. After that I acquired a K75RT as a project, an R65 as another project, a K1200RS (which I really didn’t like), and an F800ST. Had a couple of big Ninja’s and a V11 Guzzi in between. Nostalgia kicked in a few years ago (2018) and I tracked down that original K75C and bought it back - in as good or better condition than when I sold it. A friend, who was a dyed-in-the-wool R-bike aficionado - led me to the dark side and I ended up buying an R1150RS. This bike has lots of character, but in a love/hate kind of way. Another bout of nostalgia had me acquiring another K75S - so currently the K75C, K75S and R1150RS in the stable.
I retired from 34 years in manufacturing 10 years ago (turned 65 last summer) and have been enjoying the good life ever since. Married to a spectacular lady (2nd time’s a charm) who fully supports my addiction 😁, and we live in a small farming community in southern Ontario with our two coonhounds.

Welcome from just across the border near Buffalo.  There's a couple inmates in the Triangle/Peninsula area.  I'm hoping to set up a meeting for fresh pickerel in Port Colborne sometime this Spring when the weather warms up a bit.

We gotta do it!  Been wanting to check them out since I spent the night tied up next to their fishing boat waiting for a slot in the canal.  A restaurant 50 feet from the boat has got to have some fresh fish, and pickerel is the best.

Not much of a restaurant - two, maybe three small tables inside. I think they set up outside tables in the summer. We usually just grab a take-out and sit at one of the benches along the canal - but the yellow-jackets get obnoxious anywhere outside.

How was the fish?  Been a long time since I've had any pickerel even the yellow jackets wouldn't bother me.  There are benches between the street and the canal if I recall.  Been about 5 years since I've been there.  Be anice meet up the first nice riding weather.  I wonder when they put the boat out in the spring.

There are a couple others in the area, Kris is in Burlington, and Woodie is in Welland.  There are a couple more up in the GTA, Bocutter, and RBM.

I normally have the perch, which is great. Can’t remember if I’ve had their pickerel or not, but I’m sure it would be good too. Yes, benches all along that section of the canal.
Good to know about these other guys - thanks.

Mmmm...lake perch.  Like eating candy.  I really have to get there!

I remember a bar in Dunkirk, south of Buffalo where, back in the 60's you could get lake perch fresh off the boat.  All you could eat for $1.75!!!  Draft beer was something like 15 cents for an eight ounce glass.  Man, those were the days.  Of course, I was working as an electrician in the steel mills in Buffalo and making $1.68/hr.

Wow - you’re dating yourself there .75 😁
And I thought I was old 😂
I do remember pumping gas at a service station as a young teen for $0.35/gal.
