Well,

The lefties will welcome you with open arms if it is an E-Bus.  Although you will have to be prepared to work with our corrupt unions which may make it noncompetitive price wise.

This Tinny you speak of I assume is not the fishing kind?  drunken

Sounds good @Arlina. Might be a nice adventure and a change of scenery.
Most thinking Australians would welcome a new manufacturing business setting up in Australia, specially with electric vehicles, and not just the "lefties"! 😉

Sadly vehicle manufacturers have mostly all left Australia. We also have one of the world's highest per capita carbon emissions and a highly urbanised population in need of more public transport.

Hi Arlina,

It would be good to catch up if you do end up going to Melbourne.

I remember hearing about that in the news, an electric bus fleet coming to Melbourne, and remember thinking busses would be pretty much suited to converting to electric, a light payload and battery weight and space wouldn't be an issue.

Well, except the chassis and the glass, our 3.0 is build of composite and carbon fibre, very lightweight busses.
Working on the 18 meter now, ofcourse the electrics are my part Twisted Evil
Also still on the line assisting the "normal" busses, most guys never build a bus in their lifes Razz

Dunno yet if I really will go downunder, depends on the company.

*Disclaimer; No K was harmed during the building of the busses Well, not a K..... 652573

Hey Arlina, is this one of yours, or a competitors, saw this in Sunday's Sun newspaper.

Looks a bit different, but maybe just a different model.

Just curious, what range do they have, and how long does it take to charge?

A bloke I know who works at the Melbourne shire of Banyule says their whole fleet will soon be electric, from memory seven years.

That would be interesting. I've driven lots of diesel buses and even a petrol one, but not an electric.
