Folks,

This item used to come as a rare option on a K100 with the original, early six-slit nacelle around the headlight. It is a small Perspex / Acrylic narrow wind deflector that mounts with four bolts to the sides of the instrument housing nacelle.

There are diagrams with it online if you search for BMWK100 and the part # 46632300146.

If anyone has one for sale in decent condition, I'd be grateful. Pls PM me.

Thanks,

Yes -tried that. However, BBandit then refunds the $$$ after checking with the manufacturer and realizing they aren't in production anymore.

There is an Italian web site that does the same thing.

Looks like these sites just list parts diagrams without verifying actual availability.

So, my hope is centered on someone's used stock.

Thanks though!

I have been ordering BMW car parts out of Latvia for several years with good success. The world is much smaller then it once was.
I would love to hear how it works out.

Longshot...

If you don't need the see through plastic deflector (because I've seen quite a few that are black)

A lot of schools have 3D printers - white elephants for many of them because they can't think of something more meaningful to make with them than a key tag

Perhaps you can get someone's deflector and copy it. The plastic feed cable is fairly easy to get.

Probably cost a few beers

Good luck

National Cycle N25030 works well on naked Ks.  Comes with all of the hardware needed to mount it. Less chest wind blast than that puny little stock screen too.

We have a local Perspex plastic workshop and he has undertaken one off job for me instrument glasses with markings, headlight guards. He has the ability to bend cut and shape plastic and used to be pretty cheap. Try to see if there are any plastic workshops around and see if they can do a one off. The price might come down if you order a few so see if there is a market.https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwigoInCz5boAhVUfX0KHbONA6UQFjAAegQIBBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.yellowpages.com.au%2Fqld%2Fcaboolture%2Fnorthside-plastics-12319387-listing.html&usg=AOvVaw14vddG-ZIN_thsx4wMh_MS Probably too far away for him to do anything but it gives you an idea what to look for. Also custom windscreenshttps://slipstreamercustomgarage.com/

Martin, you guys in OZ have it pretty good.

I tried getting a fairly simple modified Parabellup windshield done a couple years ago.  I had cut the Acrylic sheet and made a form.  I only needed the sheet heated and draped over the form.  Went around to about 6-7 shops.  Only two were interested in doing the job, and the cheapest of the two wanted over $700 to heat the goddam plastic!

Good to see we very occasionally come out ahead. Two sets of replacement instrument pod glasses one with engraved symbols cost me $20.00 a curved headlight guard was $10.00 but that was over ten years ago. Locally we have a couple of brake line guys. And also have a guy that sleeves master cylinders and calipers and guarantees his work. There are rumours of a guy that can redo shaft splines but I haven't found out where yet.
Regards Martin.

Actually that's taking the piss.

https://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=10&M=40&Ct=WA&SbCt=BA_10_40_WA_05

Wouldn't reach half that price even with shipping.

Took one of those off the bike I bought recently. Not so good condition though... yellowed and ugly. Planning to use a headlight cleaning kit on it to see if I can make it presentable againWTB - K100 slipstream (wind) deflector - part # 46632300146. 20221119
