Hello, riding home yesterday and throttle started acting a bit funky. At about 1/4 throttle it felt chunky or klunky for lack of a better word. Getting ready to open up the throttle at the grips and do a lube. Is there anything I need to know about taking the grip apart. Has heated grips. This is the first time I have done this on my K-bike. Have done a search on this and no results to speak of.

Thanks
Bill

Just pull the little cover off next to the front master (you need to take the switch off first)

Don't try to take the tube off if you have OEM HGs. Be very careful with the HG wiring at the end of the tube. It's delicate and if you pull if off of the tube then it can't be resoldered.

Use spray silicone to lube the gears. It's much thinner and not as sticky as thee factory grease. You can clean out the old grease if you want to but that's not really necessary.
