The rear master cylinder is all gunked up and the rear brake doesn't work at all.  I was wondering if I should get a new rebuild kit or a used master cylinder.  On ebay they are roughly the same price.  I'm adding a pic of what it looks like in case that gives any insight on what is the better approach.  I am planning to tackle this myself but I've never done any brake work before.  Looking for suggestions/advice.K75S Rear Master Cylinder Leak Pxl_2010

My advice is to just replace it with a $15 Chicom master cylinder.  A quick search will get you to threads where others have done it.  Don't waste your money on the BMW parts.

Having sorted a few of them myself I have to agree with this. Buy 2 of them if you are worried but to be honest lots are doing it with no issues.

First try something that's free. This works 80-90% of the time for me:

Thanks everybody!  I will try the free thing first, and then follow up with the cheaper option.  I like cheap but effective options!  I haven't ridden the K bike all season because of the damn brake thing.  It's time to do something about it.
