Hey Everyone!
My brother-in-law gave me an alarm for my '85 K100RS for Christmas, and I'm wondering if I can make it work. It's not the one specifically for the k100. It's made for the R bikes, but I figured I'd see if I can make it work anyway.
Unfortunately, my German is nicht gut, my understanding of electronic schematics is even worse, and the English of the person who translated the installation instructions is even worse than that.
I realize this is a long shot, but what the heck?
Here's what I have.
Here's a pic (maybe) of the schematic of the unit
I'm not totally sure the schematic is of this unit since it's not part of the main manual. It's on an additional insert that was in the box. Also, it lists one of the inputs as 'blau', but there is no blue wire. Hmmm.
The alarm is motion-activated, so what I'm thinking is that if I put 12 volts to one of the inputs and ground to another, then connect the spade connector outputs to the included horn there's a decent chance it'll work, right? But there are four inputs, red black green brown. Positive to red, ground to brown?
If none of you have a better idea I'll try that, but I thought I'd check first to see if any of you geniuses have a better idea.
So, what do you think?
