Hello and thanks for having me!
Been working on an 87 K75C for the past few months taking everything apart and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Did only a few small repairs but really just a ton of cleaning. I'm moving this upcoming week and have been pushing to get it just turned on with the bare necessities so that I can get it into the moving truck later this week. Didn't have enough time/budget to get the new controls and speedo to get it all wired up. So I'm trying to re-use the original right controls just for the Start button and the original ignition switch. I'll be replacing these anyways after the move so if there is another suggestion to use a different means then I'm all for it since it will be temporary.
What I have currently tried so far, there are four wires out of ignition control.
-Grey - which I was under impression was for speedo/tach. So it's not connected to anything.
-Green - goes into right control connection, not sure if that needs to be connected somewhere on the other end.
-Red - Which I originally tried into the Lock on the m.unit first and then tried on the BAT on the m.unit on the second pass.
-Blue/Grey - Tried on the Start input first and left unconnected on the second pass with the black/yellow wire on the Start input on the second pass.
I hope this helps and I'll be messing with it all day to try to get it going but again, will not be riding it for the time being. Just need to get it started so that I can get it into the moving truck in a few days.
Appreciate any and all help!
