You know, if I'd known how much work it'd be to get this durned thing apart...I might have decided to just buy  a new one, but, I finally got this far.  Some cleaning and polishing will be on the docket next, I think.

The original packing actually wasn't too bad but you don't know until you take it apart, lol.  I also had a former cat who liked to mark the exhaust so I needed to get in there and clean it out, anyway. 

You know as long as I have it apart, I'm wondering if I should futz with tuning the number of disks.  There's 6 on there now plus the end plate.  I do occasionally have light backfires on deceleration.  Worth messing with?
