Somebody posted on a K12lt FB group a part supplier in Germany.
Tills.de
They have parts for the K100, K75 and K1100.
I was doing a comparison between what I would pay for parts with BMW Canada and Tills.de
Even with shipping, the difference is amazing.
Shipping cost in USD (DHL or Prio Airmail) :
0,1 to 1 KG : 12.00
1 to 2 KG : 20.00
2 to 3 KG : 30.00
3 to 5 KG : 40.00
5- to 10 KG : 50.00
Here is just a sample (parts for the K12lt)
Parts supplier Tills10

Awaiting my second order from Tills now.  I think Ringfad first posted on here about them.

Depending on what I am after I normally price compare between EME, Tills and our UK suppliers and work out the difference.  Although postage is now quite expensive coming out of the US.  As was explained to me today, the security requirements for freight with US carriers has upped the prices.

Postage from the UK to Oz has always been expensive, so occasionally when a forum member with business class baggage entitlement visits it is cheaper to have heavy or large items shipped within the UK, pay the VAT and arrive in their checked baggage.   Very Happy

For me, Tills appears to have the cheapest shipping as well.

As I intend to keep riding as long as possible, I am hoarding building up my spares inventory whilst I can still afford to do so.

Hi, I ordered few parts from Tills like tank fuel hose, clips, metal fuel pump filter, Bosch spark plugs, etc. They have reasonable prices and fast delivery. Full reccomandations

I keep a lot of the receipts from MaxBMW.  It's absolutely appalling the price increases BMWNA has been putting on parts the past five years.  Some parts go up 3 or 4 times the inflation rate EVERY YEAR.

I have bookmarked the Tills link and they will be the first place I check when I need parts in the future.  In defense of MaxBMW, they now have free shipping and no sales tax on everything I buy from them.

A&S also has no tax/free shipping like Max.

Motobins also has good prices on some stuff.  Shipping to US via Royal Mail is reasonable and takes roughly 7-ish days to me on the west coast. (If your Motobins order is too heavy they use FedEx. I'd avoid that as I've seen horror stories about FedEx from Motobins on ADV. They run into customs issues.)

The worst BMW price increase I've noticed of late is the folding key 51251453659.  Used to be
$8.xx, now $30+!  affraid

If you know the Bosch part number then some electrical parts are way cheap on Amazon.

Placed my first order with Tills in Jan 2019. Order was held in customs for 1 day I'm thinking because it was Friday.
With DHL shipping to NYC NY it took 5 days. Bosch fuel injectors, rubber fuel dampers, viton O-rings, water pump seals, tank cap seal kits, etc... all quality parts equal to the the OE

Tills has good fitting thin gloves with great dexterity for all kinds of work which I have not been able to find stateside

https://www.tills.de/5-set-cloves-en-388-2016-3131a-l.html

No VAT, custom or brokerage fee on $1200 order at that time. Things may have changed.

Fedex and UPS are known for their high price on brokerage fees.
I am always try avoiding them.
I got caught 2 months ago when I ordered new shock springs in the Netherlands.
They use UPS and the shipping was close to $100 + brokerage fees. On the top of it, the company (Hyperpro) charged me the VAT. The total cost for 2 springs was (CAD)$500.00

Volador, you mentioned Bosch fuel injectors from Till. Did you order upgraded EV 14 injectors? If yes what are your experience with EV 14?
Thanks

The site you mention is merely a link to various sites like eBay, Amazon & etc. Nothing comes directly from xxl-sale.com

Parts supplier 9k=

Am I missing something? I read this thread looking for alternate suppliers for brake caliper mounting bolts, a front axle center bolt and front axle clamp bolts and the shipping cost for one bolt appears to be unreasonable. Did I enter something incorrectly?

A mate of mine who lives not terribly far from you in Juneau, Alaska has discovered both Motorworks & Motobins in the UK have everything he needs for his three K bikes at reasonable postage rates & speeds. Though I have never bought anything from the them I suspect Tills.de couldn't be bothered with one lone fastener.

I'm in South east US, and have never ordered anything from overseas. With US BMW acting like the older K bikes are old junk not worth owning, parts have started to get a bit scarce since I stopped riding my 88 some years ago. So I guess its time to learn. What is VAT? I understand there will be a few charges above to listed price, but have no clue what to expect, or haw to tell from place to place what would be different.

VAT = value added tax which you should not be made to pay when buying from overseas. A good parts person at a solid BMW dealership can source almost anything for your K bike bar some discontinued items. One problem is the average parts dude or dudette was not alive when most of these things were built.

When I was within a few hour trip to Mortons BMW in VA, There was a younger dude that was into the K bikes that knew his stuff. He helped me out a lot back then. But I have not been in there in about 10 years now. I use to have good luck at the BMW dealer in Atlanta, before they changed hands. Don't know how their parts counter is now, but last time I was in there, the sales guy - may have been the new owner, not sure - made it clear to me that they were not interested in helping anyone with a bike that was as worthless as a K75, and didn't really want rif-raf like me even coming in the store. Rude azz hat from the first word.
I'm out in the middle of no where in Lower Alabam.' and since my wife can no longer ride with me, I prolly will not be ridin' the 2-3 hrs to a dealer.
Most stuff I'd be interested in is NLA, so used or aftermarket is my best bet - and the aftermarket seems best overseas.
