Hi

I read a series of posts a while back regarding a $25.00 tube of oil additive that was supposed to work with in a few hundred miles and some were getting very good results quickly.

I think it is a product in Europe

I'd like to get some but not able to relocate the original posts.

Can you give me the name of that product or the link to the posts.

My K100 sat for over 3 years before I got it in April. Has 48k miles and I'd like to treat it with that stuff.

Thanks
Mark

I got a K100RS that sat 17 years. It gets oil petrol and coolant and that's it. No oil issues.

I can make it smoke enough but that's not a result of valve guides.

All it was designed to need.
Anything that you add to a modern oil to create miracles is just salesman's snake oil.

Why do you need anything special for the valve guides? When I went into the valve guide seals on my '92 16 valve RS I found that after 116,000 miles the guides showed virtually no wear.

Just change the oil when you're supposed to.

My understanding of RnB post was for the product that softens the seals which helps with oil consumption. Mind you i could be wrong   scratch scratch

Snake oil? Bah! Everybody's using it. Everybody is going on and on about it. Just watch. It's 100% effective. That's 1-0-0. Can everybody be wrong? No. Why? That's impossible—100% impossible. Everybody knows that!

Anyway:

You know it works. He has the BMW logo in the bottom right corner, Such an excellent selection of tools hanging on the wall and most important he is wearing a BMW jacket.

How could he be wrong?
