That looks very interesting. Anyone know of a way to read it in English somehow?

A big g'day from Australia.

Welcome to the forum.

I can't read Italian, but you can get a rough idea what's what.

Do yourself a favour and have a good look around. There are some amazing photographs.

Thanks Giorgio.

Of course! Google chrome will translate it for you.

Today, we exchanged a couple of Emails with Gianni (the Italian web site owner) and we will be sharing our documents and tips.
He seems to be really enthusiastic about the K100. If we only had on common language for everybody, we would be a huge community!

Hi Giorg,

First of all, welcome.

You may find a disproportionate contribution from the southern hemisphere and that would be because we are at a time zone which allows us to ponder your problem and answer before you wake up. We have lots of experience especially in long distance hot weather touring and we ride 12 months/year largely because of absence of snow. If you are looking for answers related to hot weather or tropical riding the boys from Australia, NZ and South East Asia are the ones who are likely to provide an answer, just like we rely on North Americans and Europeans to tell us about cold weather problems.

Also, there are a lot of BMW bikes here, many being adventure or touring kind. There is a huge bike community in Australia and NZ, I am sure, and we ride predominately 1000+cc road bikes as well as 650cc+ dirt bikes. In fact, 50% of all bikes sold in Sydney are dirt bikes.

There is a large good weather weekend-warrior community, but they tend to be out and about on weekend only and they tend to ride cruisers.

Back in the 1980's our police (Sydney) used K100, so we have a lot of bikes around that were ex police. My 1986 K100 is an RS with rather special single seat manufactured by a Japanese maker who unfortunately no longer exports. If you search the forum you will find a long running discussion on cafe racers and solo seats and you will find pictures of my ride.

Nice to see you here and please if you have a problem and/or a solution to a problem, let us know no matter how trivial you think it is. Chances are that someone will appreciate it Smile
