Greeting from the sunny and fun City of Galway, Ireland.

Just got another K100 (1986 - the model with the strange fairing where the twin headlights are set behind the screen - which I have removed if anyone is looking for one).

Total basket case, sat in a shed for years after a front end collision - anyway, enough about me.

I've restored 4 K100's and 1 K75 (all original) and a lot of other bikes. I hate to see them hacked up and sold off in parts.

I also ride a 1992 R100GSPD, a 2006 F800ST and drive a 2002 Yaris Dakar (Verso).

If anyone needs any help - get in touch and i'll be glad to do my best, I think that's partially what we're all here for.

Be well and keep it between the lines

Regards

Nick

If your fairing is like a rounded version of the RS fairing, then it might be a Sprint fairing. They were expensive, good quality and well thought of - I had one. Somebody might be happy to give it a new home/ecstatic to snatch it from your hands - so don't sling it in the bin anytime soon. There was a MKI version of the Sprint which wasn't as rounded - it had more of the angles of the RS fairing and Sprint were reportedly forced to change it after threats from BMW.

Great thing you've got going with Ks btw.  Greetings from Galway, Ireland 112350

Thanks for the warm welcome, replies and info.
The PO gave me the bike with only the twin headlights (one lens is broken), the black section behind the headlights (with trim) and the headlight mounting bracket fitted (now removed). I have yet to collect the rest but will inform Mr. Moriarty as soon as I do.
I did see it thrown behind a door in his shed but cannot comment on its condition or how much of it is there.... Hope to get out there this week.
Got the engine running sweet, clutch and gearbox are perfect, frame & fittings are at the powder coaters and I got replacement stanchions today off a kind gentleman in the Midlands.
Tomorrow - paint.
Cheers!!!

Hello again.

Well, I got the fairing off the PO today and unfortunately it was damaged in the collision. The section underneath the headlights is broken in half but the top section is still together. It's repairable and looks worse than it actually is. I also have the mirror pods, headlights, headlight tree, headlight backing cowling, the headlight cover cowling, tailpiece (handles on seat variety) and some misc mounting brackets etc (no screen) ....
As I said, it's tatty but very easily repaired and painted as its damaged in a hidden area .... it even has the original "Sprint" factory sticker ....

If you want it you can have the lot for nothing. All you'll have to do is collect it somehow.

If you furnish me with an email address i'll send images.
