Central Ohio here.

I just picked up a 1995 K1100LT for a restoration project. My first BMW although I have wanted one for years. Looking forward to getting into my project and am certain I will be in need of guidance and resources. Currently waiting on some manuals to facilitate tear-down. Have not heard it run. Apparently it has has been sitting a couple of years, starter allegedly won't disengage.

My daily rider is a 2019 HD Electra Glide

Starter relay sounds fried or battery goosed,have the bike running before you do anything else.Hopfullly your going into a Happy Place working on the K.Remember,ASK first Spanner later Good Luck

Definitely plan to get the bike to fire up before moving forward with any additional work. The tear-down and problem solving will take me to my zen space.
