Hi Everyone,
I managed to convince the better half to get another bike, one that will be a keeper. I managed to get my hands on a 1988 RT thathas had some wacky bits attached to it. It is in poor condition with corrosion everywhere, a starting issue which I'm guessing is the sprag clutch, dead battery which caused the starter relay to weld itself closed, and last but not least, no key.
Had this been 3 years ago I would have passed on this one, but in that time I've rescued and restored a Yamaha XV250 that was all but scrap, then bobbed it, so I have a moderate level of confidence.
The K restoration will be taken at a slower pace as I am not planning on fabricating much (as I did with the Yamaha), which will require more research on parts.
Cheers and thanks for reading.
Mike
