I am putting my K back together, I have this wire that I cannot remember what it was connected to.

It is the front offside frame, it comes though the airbox. It looks like it is green / brown, it could be green /red

Brown indicates an earth wire. Brown with a coloured stripe indicates a switched earth wire. If it's Brown with green stripe then it's the switched earth signal from the oil pressure switch down on the pump. That's what the connector looks like anyway.

Oil pressure. There should be a corresponding single terminal in the main loom, probably buried underneath it.

Take your pick from this selection from an early RT wiring diagram.

Definately the oil pressure switch - you can see the green tracer on in, plus it's the only single-terminal OEM wire in the loom (ignoring the spare earth wire in the relay box). I've never seen a K100 equipped OEM with the coolant sensor, but I'd expect that to run all the way from the sensor to the gauge with no terminal block in the way, simply because it's an add-on. It would also be a different colour - my money would be on black because that's the only solid colour not used in the loom. However, Murphy says it would be another brown with a tracer but the wee git refuses to tell me what the tracer colour is.

Green/brown or green/red do not suppose to have a single connector.

Can you give a picture of some more of the enviroment where the wire comes out?
Let a girl check the wire color, they are better to identify colors.

I think mine is blue, it's a straight line from the sensor to the gauge with a kind of bullet connector block halfway which is also blue (I think?). Anyway it's definitely not what OP is asking about!
