Hi Everyone.
A little be about me...
I have never owned a bike prior to last year. My brother in law got me started in riding bikes and found me a 250 ninja for a cheap starter price and I still own that today. its nice to flip it around corners and I am still learning to ride and be a better rider.
Then I fell in love with the Flying Brick. loved the sound, loved the engine, loved the way it looked.
I researched them and watched cafe builds and loved them even more so I started shopping on market-face Smile . I found (what I believe a steal ) and bought one.
I actually thought to go cafe racer on it but the wifer said she wanted to ride! so I am now just keeping it in as good as shape as I can.

WelKome!

Which did you buy? 75, 100 or 1100?

Good on you that you started on a Ninja.  Ks are big heavy pigs in comparison but that makes them a nice solid mount at speed.

Duck: I bought a 94 K 1100 LT. It definitely rides smoother on highways compared the the 250!

Moriarti: thanks!

Congrats. I may be a tad biased but I think that the K1100LT is a great touring bike.

Word of caution: It's topheavy. (You've probably figured that out by now. Very Happy )  If you tilt it past a few degrees to either side then it will reach "the point of no return" and be destined for a nap.  Your best bet is to get your downside foot out of the way and try to control the descent as much as is reasonable. It isn't the end of the world if you do drop it - usually just some scraping on the engine protection bar and the mirror.

Good to see you here and yes the K1100LT is a great touring bike.

You are in  for some nice trips. I have put 45,000 miles on one in 2 1/2 years along with about 7k on a very low miles 83 K100RS that came my way a year ago.

I use the K1100LT to tow a trailer too.......must say its excellent. The comments about top heavy are correct, my 'little' K100RS feels like a lightweight sports bike by comparison. This has meant that having the trailer means all the camp gear etc goes into it.......no extra weight on the bike makes it much easier to handle and wiring it in is easy.

Greetings everyone! 52338312Give that some thought.......

Parked up in front of BSK Speedworks, no less! I have imagined in  my Covid19 cabin fever dreamy place in my head, a fantasy in a land, far, far away, of coughing up a lung and handing over the approximately US$1800 for their custom fuel injection set up for a bike like Big Block, or even the red RS Down Undah. It'll never happen, sadly, but one can dream.

My eldest daughter is 8 miles from BSK and I pass it to get to her. So that photo I think was dropping off some pudding...but I did come away with a few things, trailer has its uses but a lot of stuff for my daughter in it.

An amazing set up there and some really nice kit. If you do make it over to these parts definitely make it a visit.
