My wife of 47 years wanted a battery lawn mower and chainsaw. Cost a lot more than roses but I scored forever brownie points to spend on riding trips away. Win Win.

I got my wife of coming up to 45 years her first Valentines day present.

Hate to gloat 

I was all present and correct the day before with the flowers and card. Usually it's a last minute scramble.

RT: a battery lawn mower? Would've thought it was totally inadequate for the fertility of Robertson. Still, if she's prepared to mow the lawn, send her to W'gong when she's done. I'm occasionally riding up Jamberoo and Macquarie Passes and have a cousin at Moss Vegas. Might organise a drop in if it suits.

Looks like that with 25 years I'm a bit slower than the rest of you. Four years back she wanted a chainsaw for Christmas to keep the bushes under control at the back of the garden. I'm getting old because I'm damned if I can remember what she wanted this year. Best one ever was giving her a huge and very expensive box of cosmetics, then following it up with a one U$ dollar note. I told her she was going to need it. Figure it out? No. She thought I was hiding something in it. Was that the time you headed off the next day to India for a 3 week bike trip??? 

Nah. That was three years previous to that expedition!
