Six years and just under 70,000 miles ... not complaining. It's been dying slowly for about six months but 12.15 volts rest voltage is too low to be ignored.

That's a very respectable performance, but no record.  However, you won't regret the decision to replace it. 
I hope I can get 6 years out of mine. 

My first battery blew up due to a welded relay soon after I got it. Second battery Deka went 8 years, next battery another Deka went 6 years  I couldn't get a Deka the next time unless I waited, so I got a Rev Plus which went for 6 years. I'm now running a Dynavolt for a bit over a year as Rev Plus no longer does a battery for the Brick.

Best I ever got was one of the original Lucas sealed 'jelly' batteries. It cost a not-so-small fortune back then (sometime in the 1980s) and lasted nine years. When it did fail, it failed overnight. Impressed, I bought a second one. It didn't even get to the end of the warranty period (two years). It's replacement lasted three years and after that, I reverted to lead-acid until the advent of AGM because I was effectively paying a premium for non-premium performance.

Odyssey PC680 in R90s in 2003, replaced in 2017 with another PC680. Have a MotoBatt in K bike when purchased last year, probably 2 years old so will be interested to see how long it lasts.

Not motorcycle batteries, but last summer the Walmart batteries on my boat finally gave up.  When I pulled them out, I saw that the date tag was from March, 2007.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Five days on an Oxford Optimiser battery charger and it's holding a charge again. For the first three days, nothing, then on day four the green 'fully charged' light came on. I've ridden the bike since and also left the multimeter attached to the battery. Five days after that last ride it's still showing 12.74 volts.

Definately not complaining about that!

Dai's experience of a flat battery not responding for a number of days has also been mine with a Shorai liPo battery. Nothing until 4 days of charging, then suddenly it took and held a charge. If you have the time and don't have to get moving immediately it is worthwhile doing the extra charge days before deciding the battery is terminal and fitting a replacement.
