Hi! I've just bought a k1100rs from 1992. 60k km. Noticed that in neutral gear, with bike stand still, brake power disappears (both with actuated front brake lever and rear brake pedal) at high engine RPM (above 3000 approx) and comes back below 3000 RPM.   No issue when bike has velocity.    Anybody has found same behaviour? Is it an ABS I. caused issue? Normal or not?
Thank you

Not normal. The brakes should slow and stop the wheels regardless of the engine's speed or whether the transmission is in neutral, and regardless of ABS function.

Pull the ABS relay and take the bike for a ride.

I'm at a loss as to how you can determine a decrease in braking power when the bike is in neutral and standing still. What's the symptom? Does the lever pull in at high rpm?

An increase in rpm will not affect the brakes or the function of the ABS.
However, strange things can happen. It's a known issue that the ABS does not like low voltage.
Get your battery checked. You should have close to 13v after a good charge and a rest for 12 hrs. And charge voltage should be around 14v @2,000rpm.

Another problem could be old brake fluid and/or air in the system.
Replace the brake fluid and bleed the ABS system correctly.

Standing in the slight slope of the garage entrance to hear engine sound without helmet, bike starts to move downward over 3-4000rpm with brakes actuated  .     Lever stills in position but no effect.    Rpm falls, brakes again.

An increase in rpm will not affect the brakes or the function of the ABS.

THANK YOU!
I will check battery and for air in system.   Fluid should have been renewed each year by previous owner.
