This time of year again, fired up the Aga for the winter on Friday and looking at making lots of Christmas puddings.

So time to have a look at the Christmas meet up....

1 Do we go for Stradbally Fayre as usual?

2 Dates.....Friday 27th December, Saturday 28th December are good options.
Stradbally Fayre is also open on Sunday 29th.

I will pop it up in the Facebook pages as well.

Christmas pudding as usual....Gluten free option too.

For anyone who has not been.....
Meet up 11am to about 1.30pm...allows travel in daylight.
If weather not good we go by car.
Finish at about 1:30 allows time to be back home for family things.
If we stay with Stradbally Fayre, its 10km from exit J16 on the M8 Dublin/Limerick, near Port Laoise, in the direction of Carlow, on the N81 which brings you right past it in Stradbally. Good bike parking outside.

I can just see us all in the spa talking about k's 

but after checking the prices Stradbally is a better option :-)

At the moment all the dates you mention can work for me.

Both dates work for me, but I'd be leaning more towards the Saturday, just in case I'm working on the Friday.

I'm up for any of the above dates

Usual excuse, except that I don't have any of the working dates confirmed yet. I'll be very surprised if I'm not working/on call.

I have lots of requests for gluten free and you are top of the list.

Got the Christmas rota yesterday - you've guessed it - I'm on call. Half the time I think the fact that we don't have wains plays a part in these decisions. Elizabeth has had one Christmas Day off in ten years (nurse).

That part I don't know and so far haven't found it. I am also trying to trace where two of his nephews are buried. They were in WW1 and the RIC.

I was up last weekend - Castlewellan even has  a Christmas tree when I passed through.

A bit better than the one in our previous meeting point in Kilkeel

Same as Fintan, in theory both days are OK, but may be dragged in to work on Sunday (unless I know we're set on Sunday, then I cry off work)

A compact and heavy parcel arrived today. Mary suggested that it might be a brick, but it turned out to be a lovely Christmas pudding from a brick owner!! Many thanks Olaf. We shall do our best to get to Stradbally on the 28th .........for a second helping? Stephen

Good to see sgmayhew pop up on the forum...4 & a bit years since I deprived him of his last K100. Not sure that I approve of the new bike in his pic - low maintenance and eco friendly but seriously hard work and range limited I suspect.

Sorry I can’t make it over to Ireland for the Christmas brunch this year but hope that this mild weather lasts and you all get there on 2 wheels rather that 4. Enjoy.
