hey, so I’m a new kbike owner , after years of riding mostly sport bikes of various company’s i stumbled on a garage kept 85 k-100 RT with 71k miles on it . 

The previous owner was nice enough to give me a real decent price (lower then 1200$)I hadn't know a lot about these bikes and since buying it last month and talking to tons of people I’m expecting this bike to last a long time!. I ask a lot of questions so I’m sure you’ll be seeing my posts in the forums a whole lot.....I do all my own maintenance and repairs and I’m new to bmw flat engines. I always had American or Japanese bikes ....I’m excited to work on a bike that seems so user friendly ...thanx , be safe...

IThanx everyone for the welcome , For sure,just cleaned up my life a few years ago and most of my friends are dead so I don’t ride with anyone and I most certainly have a lot of questions...

Welcome Heresa23. Both my LTs have 70+k miles on the clock and (touch wood) are still going strong. Chugging round northern Scotland on one of them, fully loaded with camping gear, at the moment and eating miles like nobodies business.

Make sure you do get to meet up with caveman - I enjoyed meeting up with him and his brother in Pittsburgh back at start of March. Didn’t get to ride a k during that brief visit (still snow on the ground).Hopefully I will be back over that way again for a rematch.
