Hello All!
Thanks for letting me join this group! I recently purchased a 1985 K100RS from a friend who had too many bikes, I guess. He and I had spoken about the possibility of it becoming mine. I have been riding since 1988, and in 1990 purchased my current + formerly main ride (until the BMW) - a 1971 Honda CB500K. My friend told me one evening at a Moto gathering that the K100 was maybe his favorite ride, and his best lane splitter! Better than his CB! SOLD I said! (Some dumb lady hit him on it and he fell a bit out of love with it or something?)
Bought it....and ripped the mirror off the BMW splitting lanes on maybe the third ride. Oops! Takes some getting used to! I'm trying to figure it out. it's rad, does 110mph without trying!
Please please please no speeding tickets.
🤞

Welkom.

Mammoth lakes, beautiful.  Have only driven through there in the past.

WelKome!

You need some leashes on your mirrors if you're going to be splitting.

I recommend getting some city cases too for splitting.

City cases are narrower so all you need to worry about is mirrors when splitting.  (I ride and split a lot in CA.)  They are also top loading and better for running errands.
