I'm going to tidy up my K75S. The side covers in particular need a squirt of paint. An online search came up with Topaz Red Violet (246), which is a sort of purple. I tried ebay, and got blue paint, so no joy there, and the local Autopro who didnt have it listed.

Any suggestions as to where I can get a rattle can the right colour? Preferrably in OZ as I dont know how I'd go importing it.

The alternative is to get it colour matched by a spray painter, but that is a lot of mucking about for a little tiny amount of paint.

Phil, I've got paint mixed for mine ( madison metallic) at Autobarn in Armidale. They also put it in rattle cans if you want.

in brissy  (springwood -slacks creek ,actually ) I have had success with Harts automotive paints  25 for a can of acriylic mixed to bmw paint codes

Supercheap will mix the colour to spec and put it in a spray can for you. They also supply undercoat and clear coat.

Don't know if it's available in OZ but in the US some shops have a PPG paint matching computer.  If you take a body part (like a battery cover or tail cowl handle) to them then the computer can come up with an exact match.

Lots of them here in Oz ..from house paint to auto paint (don't go to a house paint place for an auto/bike paint match) ..just take a sample in that they can scan ..and they will fill a rattle can, or larger (if you have a spray gun) with an exact match, and they also supply silicone remover and clear coat etc.. Not expensive either.

Yes, I thought after I posted that the local Autobarn should be able to colour match, so I'll take the sidecover down there later and see how they go.
