I found the OEM one hard to use especially with gloves on. I ended up making one out of aluminium angle. http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,7822.msg56073.html#msg56073Throttle lock screw Thrott10

Hey Martin, That throttle lock you made is great. I want to try the throttle lock screw and see how it works for me. Thought I would set it before riding and see if it functions adiquitly for my riding. I've seen three different versions. Two had slots in them and different lengths. One had a larger diameter head and no slot. All three were knurled. Anyone prefer one over the other? It's not a big deal, but I think it's a cool thing to have available to use.

James Sherlock (UK) have them in stock. I think they ship internationally - if not, happy to order you one in and send on to you.

I have the screw fitted on both my LTs - set it (just tight enough to hold throttle at chosen position) and leave it, never needed to adjust it.

There seems to be a couple of OEM types, I've also seen one with a toggle instead of the knurling. I do believe there is non OEM one that installs in the bar end.
Regards Martin.

Thanks James for the offer. I went with MAx as Duck suggested. My K75 conversion to a K75T is almost complete. Trying to keep it as stock as possible with a few enhancements that make it even better. I really appreciate every ones help here to guide me along. She is no creampuff, but very functional in the basic style it started with. I'm not into doing a café or coffee mods as I like the bike the way it was designed. Thanks again to all for the help and suggestions. Peace

I believe you will be underwhelmed by the usefulness of the OEM locking screw.  The after market offers far better choices. They are not $10, but if your wrist truly needs some relief during long days in the saddle, they are worth their price.

Check out Duck's cruise controls they are worth their weight in gold and the first time you don't get that traffic ticket it pays dividends.
