Hello Riders!
I recently picked up my first BMW and thought I'd join a forum or 2 to get to know other riders and more about my 86 K100RT.
I picked up a used instrument cluster off ebay. On the current one the paint is cracked on the speedo side, the gear indicator does not work on the tach side and not sure if other indicators may be bad, so this will look and function better.
I'd like to change the handlebars. I'm 6'2" and am reaching over and down to get the bars so I'd like to change these or get some riser/extenders. What have you found works for you?
On my Titan I had 16" ape-hangers which were just right for that style of bike. I don't want to put apes on this but would like about 4" up and 3-4" back for an upright ride.
Looking for suggestions on how to reduce the wind noise coming over the top of the windshield. I'm looking over the top of it as I ride and all the compressed wind hits my helmet and it's extremely annoying and on long trips would be fatiguing. I have a full face modular helmet with Bluetooth but not listening to that until I get this handled.
I'm getting gear together to do some cycle camping this summer. I'd like to spend some time in the remote areas of Eastern Oregon.
And looking for different rides to go on around the state. I'm about 90 minutes from the coast and will be going over there plenty this year.
