I can posk ok from my laptop but cant seem to post from my desk top??????? Every time I try I get the above mesage and cant get passed it. The only thing I found in search was a reference to Linux but no help

are you using Linux marc ?

if using ie ….whilst on the site

got to ie options …security  and then trusted sites …. then make sure https://www.k100-forum.com is added ...then save

this may help with downloads replys etc …

but "no post mode selected"  could also be something as simple as no title for a new post that your trying to create ?

or creating a new thread within an already existing  thread ...instead of replying in the same thread - topic - post …???

or even maybe ...just lag ?  giggles ...

Sorry mate. I should hae explained that I am on win8,1 with firefox on the dt and win7 with firefox on the lp.

Every few years, Microsoft put out a "beta" version of their future products. Windows Millenium was a stepping stone for Windows XP, and Windows 8.x was a stepping stone for Windows 10.
Windows 8.xx always had a lot of problems and it's really outdated (I don't think Microsoft support it anymore).

All sorted out. I just use Opera browser for the forum and it works. I dont know what FFs problem is.

I was having a lot of trouble with Firefox for the last month or so and couldn't seem to fix it.  Last week, while making another attempt at making it work, I stumbled across a "reset defaults" and when I did, it started working perfectly and still does. 

It seems that the last Firefox update messed something up and the default reset corrected it.
