Cutting the grass takes on a whole new meaning.......
I have had the pleasure of 30c and fresh snow like that too, in the Alps, paragliding there and its nothing short of amazing. Everyone should experience the combination.
Welcome too.

Ah Dai an oh shit moment to me is where you know you are going to either wreck yourself or the bike.
That now looks like it could be ok......
Now where's the pudding?

Ah Finland, renown the world over for its top class rally drivers...but not well known for it's niche cafe-racer snowmobile design team. Maybe this is because many of us don't get enough proper snow...or maybe it's because wheels on a snowmobile are just never going to work!
Welcome and good luck with your project (and getting this bike back)

Moro!
This previous case was easy. Need some lifting.... But I can say, also xchallenge is heavy, when you try push it up on snow... And almost always do it by myself, becouse I drive alone...
Here some past adventures.... My old boy, R100Gs tripped about 10 years ago in middle of forest. One day before it rained very light snow and BMW did not like it. Carburators, air intake box, brakes, wheels and other components just freezed. Ten kilometers in forest route and then BMW shut down....
This another case was not cool. I came home on my work. I drive in ice of like. When I take shortcut under the bridge, my nightmare happened... Ice crushed under bike. I jump to side and Xchallenge dropped to lake... Only my left boot get wet.
Xchallenge was in lake three days about 3 meter deep. Then divers get it up. I dry bike few days and back to road. Only damaged component was dashboar. Even Garmin Zumo 500 works 5 years after that. And the bike?
Yes, I still drive it. After disaster I have visited it in Morocco, Russia and many other countries, driven now 40000 kilometers after dive.

Parking you bike at the bottom of a river now that is funny. Definitely a keeper at this rate.
