I have all of my RS mirrors leashed but it's not as easy on the RT/LT mirrors.  Interested in how others might have done it.

The RT/LT mirrors stay on pretty well and don't fall off if you look at them crossways like the RS mirrors do but I split in California and the possibility of knocking off an RT/LT mirror and losing it on a freeway makes me nervous.

I just did that on my 88 K100RS.I used those very small bungie cords that come with the larger ones. You know, the 1/4 inch thick ones that are about 6 inches long. Took a screw out of the mount bracket and used a wire connector with a small round hole like a washer and hooked the end of the cord to it and the mirror.Mine fell off and dangled by the wire one day after hitting a rough patch in the road .I also glued them on in place using black RVT gasket material ,cleaned off the excess with naphta  before it dried and it is perfect looking now.The silicone will release if I need to remove them but gives a little help holding them in place so they don't pop off again. Took the bike on some rough roads and the mirrors stayed on .Been about a month now and they are still on good and tight.
