But the helmet
Just bought this oldie;

.....still have the one I bought together with the RS, 32 years ago.

I still have my BMW helmet (Original Schuberth C3, no the pro) bought in 2001.
The original price was $800 but at one point, BMW had a big sale for $500.
Very soon after (maybe 2 months), the same helmet or any spare parts like the shield were not available in Canada or USA. In fact when I bought the helmet it didn't have the DOT approved sticker but I missed this small detail.

The story is that BMW started to import and sell the helmet in N.A. before it had been approved. When the time came to have it DOT approved, they found that the cost was too high (Insurance required) for the small quantity that they would sell.
BMW Canada sent all the stock back in Europe and this was the end of the story.
Few years later, I needed a new shield and I called my former BMW dealer in France (Previously, they shipped a lot of part in Canada).
This time the story was different.... The person at the counter told me that it was impossible for them to send me a shield (or any spare parts).
Why?.... The BMW catalog has a special mention for the original C3: NOT FOR SALE IN NORTH AMERICA.
A family member picked it up and shipped it to me, but talk about a shitty deal I got from my Canadian BMW dealer.

Too big for my head, but won't use them. Onlt dor decoration.
My daily helmet is a Bayard, yellow one. Tried the C4, but too big or too small

I had one of those Nova helmets years ago.  It was quite a nice helmet as I recall....

I had a black one of those Nava's way back when (when I was a teenager that is).   I loved how the visor would pop down on its own when you hit a certain speed
