Hello..
Moore here from Connecticut.

I learned to ride on an '89 K100LT ABS I pulled out of another barn in western Mass for $900.
I let that one go to a friend, and now it's been dead for months in his garage...slight regret with that one  Rolling Eyes
Put 10k on her before I said goodbye.

I have an '85 K100RS that I pulled out of a barn in western Mass for $800.
Put her back together in a week of wrenching, Crazy frog's guide as a bible, ripped it for months. 2 days in the rain killed her dead.

I bought a '08 R1200GS from a dealer because I "just wanted to ride and not wrench"..came with a fuel pump DOA and realized insurance would total it in 4 years. Sell sell sell.

I'm back to K bikes that I can insure & crash with financial impunity.
Once my R1200 is sold, I'm on the hunt for a k75.

Nice to see you back in Ks. Proper order.

I am not sure why 2 days in the rain should kill a K though, its not really possible to kill them!!.

K75 you will like.....

Oh I'm sure it was more than two days!
The '85 has fair surface rust in multiple frame spots and low mileage.
I imagine its been outside a lot while not moving. HES was swapped for 1 from France that looked even worse, to no affect  ;BMW;

My '89 had "no" rust and 100k with original ignition / fuel kit.
I don't think these bikes ever quit if garaged, serviced and moving.
One user reported an easy 235k on his '85 100, which surprised me. I thought lots of powertrain updates (splines) came after that..
